Mighty Men of Mount Pisgah Harnett

Mighty Men Ministry

The mission of this ministry is to create an environment that will allow men to be conformed to the image of Christ through mentoring, faith and fellowship.

The new man in Jesus Christ needs to be established in his faith.  Mentoring is the process of taking responsibility for the men that God sends to Mount Pisgah Original Freewill Baptist Church, INC.  With the help of the Holy Spirit, we will seek to show that there is nothing weak about being a Christian Man.

Almost the first half of Jesus’ public ministry was spent developing relationships with men who would ultimately become the leaders of the church.  His goal was for men to become rooted, established, and built up in the faith.  He desired for these men to have a solid knowledge of Him and to know what it was to obey Him, trust Him, and follow Him for the rest of their lives.  A major component of His ministry was fellowship as He spent the last three and a half years of His life walking with His disciples.  He created an atmosphere where men could be themselves as He molded them into who He needed them to be.

What are we about?

We are about being the best men that we can be.  We believe that “Christlikeness and manhood are Synonymous.” We seek to be conformed to the image of the Lord Jesus Christ who set the standard for Manhood.

The Rules of Conduct

What you hear here, see here, and say here stays here. I will say nothing

that may be traced back or that could be injurious or embarrassing to

group members.

We are all accountable to each other, for the Bible says:  “As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.” –Proverbs 27:1

I will ask the group to hold me accountable for specific areas of my life

With my permission you can ask me about the goals I set with God, my family, personal life and world.  I expect you to lovingly not “let me off the

The Bible says that we have “come short of the glory of God” there is no one man any greater than anyone else in this group.  Everyone is to be treated with respect, love and kindness.

The Bible says “that there is nothing new under the sun”.  In order to get respect you must give respect, and the best way to do that is to be real with your brothers.  Someone has gone through what you are going through, so don’t be afraid to share your triumphs and failures.

No Condemnation

The Bible says there is “no condemnation to them which are in in Christ Jesus” so there should be no condemnation among your brothers.  We are only as strong as the weakest one of us.
